Estimate CNSS employer and employee contributions in Tunisia. Calculate the total cost of an employee and net salary.
In Tunisia, social charges are managed by the National Social Security Fund (CNSS). They consist of employer contributions (paid by the employer) and employee contributions (deducted from the employee's gross salary). These contributions fund social security benefits: health insurance, retirement, family allowances and work accidents.
Under the CNSS general regime, the employer contributes 16.57% of gross salary and the employee 9.18%. Total contributions therefore represent 25.75% of gross salary. These rates cover all branches of social security. Certain sectors (agriculture, construction) may have slightly different specific rates.
The total cost of an employee for the employer is not limited to gross salary. Employer CNSS charges (16.57%), potential professional training contributions, and ancillary charges (health insurance, transport, etc.) must be added. For a gross salary of 2,000 DT, the total employer cost is approximately 2,331 DT per month, an increase of about 16.57% over gross salary.
